17 November AGM
Dear Ratepayers association
I am fairly new to the area having moved into Birdhaven during November 2016..
I have noticed that the Voodoo Lily coffee shop has become very loud on a Friday night with live music from 18h00 to 21h00 on a Friday evening and now from 14h00 to 19h00 on a Saturday. Requests for the owner to turn his music down have been ignored. Now with a Saturday in place for 5 hours as well the situation has become intolerable. We had an especially roudy croud eating and drinking alcohol on the pavement and walkway. My home has in essence become unusable during these hours and to have this behaviour continue (the live music band is standing on the street corner) is not acceptable and is reducing the value of properties in close vacinity of this coffee shop significantly. It is also reducing the value of the suburb where peace, security and upmarket living was the main draw card for living in the area. Please assist me with taking action. Our area surely can not cope with this kind of behavior. My number is 0832600395. Regards Lizette
Apologies for only picking this up now, I have forwarded your note to the BRA chairperson, Brad Serebro (bradley.serebro@gmail.com) and asked him to respond.
